Ayutthaya

"The Ancient City" Ayutthaya was once the capital of Bangkok until the Burmese burned it down...

Yeah, that's all I remember from our guided tour! A tour guide picked a group of us teachers up really early Sunday morning and we drove about 2 hours outside of Bangkok to some famous ruins, temples, and palaces. It was a very hot day, but we enjoyed seeing a lot of beutiful and intresting things. All except having to ware sleves and taking off our shoes for every building we went into. We also got to visit an Elephant Camp where you could ride and feed the elephants. They had a show where the elepahants were dancing to the music and hamming it up! It was fun to see and get so close to them.

Dan and Bekah, glad to see you all get to have a great adventure and Daniel gets a travel companion. There were just too many lonely nights for him in Pohnpei :)
